Having worked as an Analyst for a Contract Research Organisation, I now use my previous analytical experience to expand on my current role by maintaining analytical equipment. My role at Domainex is to liaise with colleagues in chemistry and biology to develop suitable analytical techniques to assess viability. I enjoy the fast pace, the variety and bespoke nature of the analytical work requested by potential Clients and Colleagues, across multiple departments.

Analytical and bioanalytical Group Leader

After 20 years at AstraZeneca, I recently joined Domainex for an exciting role as the analytical and bioanalytical group leader. What I really enjoy about my role is being given the freedom to create innovative analytical solutions to support new assays or improve existing ones, while leading a team of talented analytical scientists. I am impressed at how well the analytical labs are equipped at Domainex, especially with the recent investment in new Waters LC-MS systems.

I have joined Domainex several years ago and so far, it has been an amazing adventure. I am a chemist and throughout the years, I had the opportunity to work on a number of projects such as pure synthetic chemistry programs, integrated medicinal chemistry projects, fragments based drug discovery research and even worked with our biology department for 3 months which I really enjoyed ! I am also heavily involved in H&S matters, and as a member of the H&S committee and employees representative, I take part in all the decision making regarding the chemistry department. In addition to all that, I am also in charge of our “Science and snacks events“ which allows me to collaborate and invite external speakers who then present and share the latest scientific hot topics and progress; and follow that with a buffet. I feel extremely lucky to be part of all this and work in very friendly atmosphere every day, but above all, to have the most amazing colleagues !!!

As a protein scientist, my workday typically includes purifying challenging proteins and advance them to application-based studies, and meetings with principal scientists/clients. I find solving unique challenges associated with each project extremely satisfying. The work atmosphere is healthy and stimulating with approachable and encouraging colleagues. I enjoy the work-life balance at Domainex
